The Clarke Family - Chapter 2

In week 1 at the Clarke house, both Dorian and Simon struggled to raise their two brothers, Elliot and Mickey. Neither of them had completed a single piece of homework, and both were D-; their lack of personal hygeine, due to time constraits, meant they were spotty, and both were barely in green aspirationally. Dorian will be this weeks narrator.

"I was so pleased when Mickey finally made Star Pupil. He and Elliot had both benefitted from learning to do their homework. It was amazing really, as I had no idea how to do homework, so how I managed to pass the knowledge on I will never know. I was worried even more about my grades, as I had a dream to attend University. But there was so much to do around the place, and Simon was about as much use as a 'spork of steel'! Being a Libran he was a little, make that alot, on the lazy side, and refused to help alot of the time. I did my best, but it wasn't easy."

"This is Mickey! He's my favourite brother, and I'd do anything to make sure he grows up well. He's a nice kid, really soft hearted, and he's started to help out round the place now he's a little older. Not that I want him to do to much, after all kids are supposed to have fun!"

"Elliot grew up well, and although he was another Libran, he wasn't as lazy as Simon. He's decided he'd like a large Family one day, and can see no further than a happy marriage, and reaching his Golden Anniversary. I'm trying to persuade him to go to University, after all he's bound to meet a nice girl once he gets there. And a degree would set them up financially. I don't know if I'm getting through to him, but I hope so. I hate being the one to try and lay down the law. I'm only a teenager myself, so what do I know. I'm not supposed to have this much responsibility. Right?"

"Simon's getting moodier by the day, and won't do anything. It took him 6 hours to complete 1 homework assignment. He said he needed some fun, but when I suggested he paint, or do something useful, this was his response. In fact it's his response to most things lately! People say I'm too old for my years, and call me the responsible one, but I don't want to be. After all, Simon's the eldest, but if it was up to him this family would just go down the pan. Sometimes I almost feel like slapping him!"

"Mickey grew up well, and looks alot like Elliot. He's decided to devote his life to the attainment of pleasure. Who could blame him really? His life's been pretty rough up to now. I did suggest he'd need money if he wanted to have real fun, so he's going to focus his life on reaching the top of the Gamer career track. Like he pointed out, a job playing computer games for money hardly sounds like real work. He's even setting his sights on working for Maxis, one of the leading game developers."

"This is my favourite picture of Mickey. I've already decided when I get a place of my own, Mickey's gonna come live with me. Well I hope he will anyways!"

"I finally made Star Pupil, and better still met Regina. I'm not sure what she wants out of life, but I'm sure I want her to attend Uni. with me. She's a real cutie, and the first girl who's shown the slightest interest in me."

"Even though Simon also became a Star Pupil, he's still not having any success with the ladies. Hepzibah King was less than impressed with his idea of humour."

"Finally one of has managed to hold down a job, and Elliot has even managed a promotion. He's well suited to a life in security, after all Family sims just love playing the hero."

"On the night he was promoted to Security Guard he brought home a girl. I hope she's planning on attending University, as if she doesn't I don't think he'll bother."

"Wow, he sure is a fast mover. He only met her tonight. He's missed his calling. He would have made a great Romance sim."

"Talking of moves, Simon and I finally patched up our differences when I taught him to dance. He's finally found something he's actually good at. I would have preferred it to have been cleaning, or cooking, or even painting. At least that brings in some money. But at least he's happy now. He's still not having any luck with girls, and I may have discovered why!"

"It would seem he has much more fun with boys. Oh well each to their own, and whatever makes him happy."

"Between us, Simon and I amassed a small fortune in scholarships. Who'd have thought we'd gain from all our hours of fun dancing. Anyways we're both off to University. I feel confident leaving Elliot in charge. After all he's working and everything. I shall miss Mickey, but it won't be long before he either joins us, or I'm back. I just hope Regina's going too!"

Teenagers raising kids without parents is always a fun house! Yeah, right, lol! Glad Dorian brought Regina home. He deserves to have a nice girlfriend! Simon seems pretty lazy, hope he figures out which way he "swings" soon! Great update!

I'm glad things got better for the boys!

You seem to have done well with the teenage 'parenting' - it's so hard to balance it sometimes.

And I hope Dorian and Regina do get together - they seem like quite a good couple.

Woah! Mickey and Elliott are real cuties. They will break some hearts! I wonder how they will do on their own after their brothers leave for uni? Another family sim, great!

Well, that would explain why he doesn't get along well with the girls. At least all the boys are teens now. Elliot and Mickey turned out to be a couple of hotties. Good for you. Congrats on the scholarships.

What fun with all these boys. I hope Meadow goes to college too. She's a great sim with a bad rep and she makes great looking kids.
