It was difficult deciding which Townie teens would accompany the first batch of students to attend University. I wanted to bring a few 'best friends', and the CAS's had made so many. In the end this was my final line up, although I was worried about my ability to play eight sims with any amount of success. I'd done it before, but this time 'Prosperity Points' were riding on it! I'm keeping the University updates as brief as possible, although with so much going on here, it's difficult to choose what to add to the blog, and what to leave out. Anyway - here we go!
Erica was the first to arrive, quickly followed by the others.
No sooner were the sims installed, than this unfortunate incident took place .....
I was so stunned I didn't even have time to take a photo. Ricky autonomously walked over to Siobhan, and leapt into her arms. Why Oh Why did she catch him? It now seems they're in love, and I didn't want that to happen. He just isn't right for her. Not at all! They're not supposed to make life changing decisions without consulting me. Darn Sims!
Oh No! Now Randy London seems to have a problem. It doesn't matter how hard he studies, his points panel is glitched, and he can never fill his academic meter.. I'm not sure what to do!
Randy on the other hand knows exactly what he wants to do. Pursue a relationship with Siobhan O'Reilly. It's a 3LB attraction, my first ever without some kind of manipulation!
Hmmm ..... I hope I don't have to delete him due to his glitch. It would break Siobhan's heart, not to mention mine. My first 3LB attraction. Ooooooh I'm so angry! In the end I decide to move both of them out to join the Clarke boys in another house. Reloading didn't help, and it seemed the only option. I moved Siobhan to get her away from the constant advances of Ricky Cornier, who'd decided to continue with his autonomous flirting, despite my disapproval. So then there were six.
Elijah decided now the place had finally settled down, he'd apply for a Greek House Charter. And suddenly pizza began appearing from everywhere, and my sims will never have to cook again. Even the inventories are filling up!
All six students made it into the Secret Society.
Although Orlando took full advantage of the visit, and gave himself a facelift. He'd never liked his nose, and his mouth was a little thin, and his eyes benefited from being slightly enlarged. To say he was happy with the improvement would be an understatement.
He also became pretty nifty in the garden, and obtained his Gold Gardening Badge, Garden Club Membership, The Wishing Well, and a $2,295 joining fee, in the space of a day!
It was Sophie's love of gardening which drew the two of them together. Well, that, and their 2LB attraction. Oh, and my intervention of course.
At last, Orlando is finally in platinum. I've finally learnt it's not always what I want for them that counts. sometimes you just have to give them what they want, and Orlando's been after his first kiss since he arrived. I was fed up with the want slot being wasted!
Where's it going to end! Now he wants to get engaged. I just hope he's happy enough for a while, there's badge earning to be done! BTW - I deleted the photograph of Ricky's aspiration change at the end of the Second Year by accident. He rolled Family, and now wants to raise 20 puppies or kittens! Oh well you win some, you lose some. Could be worse I suppose. Though I'm not sure how! I though Family sims wanted relationships and children, not pets?

Wow! Alot going on here! I've never tried putting 8 students through university, but maybe I should! Sorry about the glitch, that's never fun. Oh, that Ricky! He's something else, isn't he? Maybe he will settle down now that he's a family sim! Super update!

8 Students all at once? You're either brave or slightly mad... I can only really deal with 4... maybe 5 at a push.
And yay for silly amounts of pizza. Who needs to cook?
Don't worry about the glitch for Randy. I had that happen to a coupla sims, and I just played around it. They graduated with Honors. I just had the glitched sims go to class when the others went and such to make sure they had enough points to graduate. It worked out.
Hope that Randy glitch worked out. Three bolts is a true anomaly anywhere. Congrats on getting it. Wow, you're going to have a fully Maxis family straight out? I thought that didn't happen until much later in the challenge. Oh well. Both of them in my game married my Toddlermania kids.
Darn that Ricky. First he flirts on his own, then he gets a new LTW and it's the raise 20 pups and kittens! Goodenss! Nice job though.
