The O'Reilly Family - Round Three

It wasn't long after our first date that Simon started to come over to spend nights. We had so much in common, and it wasn't long before we ended up in bed together.

Even though I thought I'd been careful, a couple of days later I felt the familiar feeling of sickness I'd had when pregnant with Siobhan. Talk about mixed emotions. How would Simon take the news, how would I cope as a single parent if he decided not to go through with our marriage after his graduation. I was also excited, but somehow felt very insecure. Simon was surrounded by pretty young girls at college; and here I was, old enough to be his Mother, and getting fatter and more unattractive by the day!

I ditched my unflattering, school marmish hair, and gave myself a bit of a makeover. I didn't want to recapture my youth, but I wanted to make the best of any assets I had, while I still had them! Simon took the news better than I ever expected, and continued to come over nearly every night to show he still loved and supported me.

I used my pregnancy to max out my skills, and I also managed to paint a masterpiece. Money was tight, and Simon wasn't able to help, although he's promised to move in straight after graduation, and be a proper Dad to his child.

Simon stayed over the night I went into labour. It didn't bother him, although we both got a real shock .....

..... natural twins! I'm old and wise enough to know the cheesecake trick, and not a morsel had passed my lips. This was double trouble, or joy, depending on how you look at things.

Baby Eilish was the first, followed by Malachi.

With her dark eyebrows, and piercing blue eyes, there's no doubt who's the Daddy!

The twins birthday soon comes around, and I ask a few friends over for a party.

Simon was worried at this point, and wondered if you were really supposed to chuck them in the air! I reminded him I had done this before, and knew what I was doing.

I thought I'd invited any neighbours that might complain, but apparently not!

As the week closed, I was left with alot of clearing up, but felt much more positive about the future. Simon was turning into quite a reliable young man, and the twins seemed to be the making of him. I can't wait for him to graduate so we can be a proper family. Iim still a bit staid, but then Simon is old beyond his years, and I think we'll make a fair go of it!

The Dowling Family - Round Three

Seth Platz here, reporting from Erica's home! Or former home by the looks of things. I didn't move in, Erica didn't propose that I did. She just said watch over things till she got back. How was either of us to know that new council legislation requires all empty properties to be placed immediately on the market, due to housing shortages. She's gonna be spitting feathers if the place gets bought up while she's gone. She thinks by staying put her Dad will be able to contact here when he returns. I'm not hearing good things on that front; it seems he's gone missing, or at least failed to make his last meet with the F.B.I.

The place is still exactly as she left it the night she went to Uni. I just hope it doesn't get snapped up. Some things are irreplaceable, like her portrait, and I don't want to see her upset!

Round Three - University Update

I decided to start Round Three with a University update. Four new neighbourhood sims have decided to get an education at the Academie la Tour, the Swinton and Middleton young adults.

Colby Swinton, being the elder brother, was the first to arrive. Edna looked on whilst her son grew up, and wondered how they'd manage without her.

Giving him a final hug, she left him with a wave and a sniffle. Life at home would be lonely with just her and Mary in the house.

Amin grew up well moments after his brother. "If it's OK, I think I'd like to be narrator this time. After all, I tend to get missed out abit, being the second son and all. Notice I never even got a goodbye hug! Not that I mind really, I'm used to it now. I'm the brother that merges into the wallpaper, the geeky shy boy with glasses. You're lucky I'm willing to do the narrating really, I never would if it was talking instead of writing."

"Anyway, after claiming our rooms, and declaring our majors, Colby decides to join a Greek House. He calls up the Funhouse, and they send some people over. Siobhan O'Reilly can't help letting everyone know how big she is on campus. Colby's impressed with them, and they seem to like him, so he soon gets accepted."

"In fact, he's so ecstatic, it puts him in a platinum mood. Unfortunately, it didn't last long."

"I decide I'd like to join a different House to Colby. I seem to spend my life in his shadow, and use this opportunity to break out a little. I really like Alvin, in fact I get on with all the Federal Fortress members, and I'm soon a member."

"Like I said, Colby wasn't happy for long!"

"Colby made so many friends, he was soon abducted by a Secret Society. I wasn't jealous, I knew he was the type of sim a Secret society would appreciate. Shy wasn't in his vocabluary, and he got on with everyone."

"I'm not sure, but I think Colby must have 'pulled some strings' for me, because imagine my surprise to find myself being abducted the following night. Our end of year exams went well, with both of us nabbing a spot on the Dean's List. I can't wait to begin studying again, so catch you laters."

"Although Esther was sad to see both me and my brother go at the same time, I think she'll be fine until we get back home. She's become good friends with Mary Swinton, and often has her over to the house for chats and stuff, so I don't think she'll be lonely."

"Here I am, grown up well, and ready to get this over with, so I can get married and start a family. Although in the long term I want to teach, in the short term my hormones are screaming at me to have a baby. I hope I meet someone special soon, or I may end up having to adopt."

"Anyway, I'll make this short, just the edited highlites so to speak."

"When Amar decides to join the Funhouse, they send over some representatives. Four arrive from one direction ....

..... and one from another. Simon Clarke seems to stand apart from the rest of the group. Call it woman's intuition, but I'm sure he has something to hide, as he acts very shifty around other members of his house, especially Siobhan O'Reilly."

"Anyway, Amar joins up, and I like them all so much, I decide to do the same."

"Actually, the person I really want to join up with, is Justus Tsang, although he seems to have the hots for another girl in the dorm. I think he must be turned on by stinky girls, because everytime I see her she's surrounded by a haze of green mist. I like him, but I'd never allow myself to sink that low hygenically."

"I originally thought he might like make-up, so gave myself abit of a change. New lippy and eyeshadow, that sort of thing. But he still does the 'shimmy, call me' thing everytime she's about. I even worked out for a day to get fit, in case he'd like me better. All to no avail!"

"The night I joined the Greek House I nearly missed Amar being abducted by the Secret Society. I knew all about them through Siobhan O'Reilly, who couldn't help but let on she was a member. Or that she was a force to be reckoned with on campus. I actually like her, although she can be abit full of herself sometimes."

"Look, in the background, that's Amar, being carted off by the Secret Society!"

"I was a bit worried at this point. Amar is really fit, and works out everyday. I mean, just look at that six pack. I don't think he liked being poked in the chest but he didn't retaliate."

"They even handcuffed him."

"The following night they came for me. I played along so as not to spoil their fun. What's interesting about this shot is the girl with the spiky hair playing darts in the background. That's her! The smelly one that Justus lusts after. I keep asking myself, Why? I also keep telling myself, come next year, he will be mine. Well a girl's gotta dream. Incidently, before I go, both Amar and myself made the Dean's List. I'm not surprised. Esther made sure neither one of us were slackers. She'll be so proud!"

"Hi, Siobhan here. Here's the third year update from the Funhouse. First off, me and Randy are so happy together. The unfortunate accident with Ricky Cornier is long forgotten, by me anyway. I hear he's still pining, and although I like him, I wouldn't settle for less that a 3LB attraction. Love must suit me, as you can see from the above photo, I am looking hot!"

"Anyway, here's the update. I got my silver toymaking badge. Which was good. I was fed up with churning out boxes with clowns in. Now I can make kites, and a spinny twirly thing. I bet I get sick of making those too after a while. These badges take so flippin' long to acquire. It's playing havoc with my hands, what with the splinters and all!"

"Now here is some gossip! Although I like Simon Clarke now he's no longer a spotty teenager, like everyone else I thought he was interested in men. That's what Dorian his brother confided in me. I couldn't believe it when he asked my MOTHER to go on a date with him. She's old enough to be his Mother, and I just don't get it?"

"Hmmmm ..... I hope this is where it stops!"

"But no, they had to go and fall in love. I've got two choices as far as I can see. I can accept it gracefully, and remain friends with them both. Or I can kick up a fuss and alienate them both. I'm not that concerned about him, but I love my Mum. Oh well, it could be worse. She could have got with my Randy, and where would I be then?"

"This just gets better and better. Not! It would seem after graduation I'm getting myself a brand new stepdaddy. Who's only a few days older than me. Way to go you guys, think about yourselves why don't you. What are people going to say!"

"I hoped to keep it a secret for a bit longer than this. Edna Swinton knows, everybody knows."

"It's alot to take in. My mother is a teacher, a respected member of the community. And here she is making out in broad daylight, nightlight, well you get the idea. Some model example to set before the first graders if you ask me!"

"Simon and I had words ....

..... but he knew the only real way to apologise to a fortune sim is with a gift. A very very expensive gift. I felt slightly better about the whole thing after that."

"Other noteworthy news; the Federal Fortress has recruited a Llama into its ranks. Dorian soon recruited him as another friend. He's getting close to a dozen or so now I think. Those Clarke boys have come far considering how they started out!"

"Oops, sorry Dorian, I under estimated you. Dorian achieves his lifetime want. I so cannot believe he has more friends than I do. How? More to the point, Why?"

"Regina can now make some special mood enhancing flowers. I doubt they'll prove as useful as the water wigglers I will be creating very shortly. But she tries."

"Simon finally got to talk to flowers, thank heavens! I was sick of being the only one around here. Although I think they actually enjoyed the sound of my voice, and might even miss me now I shan't be doing it as much. Oh and we all made Dean's List, although I'm not sure how Dorian managed it. He's never off the flamin' phone, so I've bought myself a mobile now. Well, I wouldn't want to miss an important call."

"Hi, Erica here, over at Federal Fortress. It's been a busy year, and I'm not going to ramble on. Here are the best bits.. Firstly, the garden payed dividends, and Alvin maxed his skills with a combination of juice and study. It's not cheating, as he put valuable study time into that garden, and even got rewarded with a Gold Gardening Talent Badge. One impossible want fulfilled, way to go Alvin."

"Then he fell in love with some girl, although I've completely forgotten her name. All I really remember about her is her red hair. Oh, and her nose!"

"Elijah now makes servo's. They sell for $6,000, which is good when you consider he's a Fortune sim."

"I haven't been slacking. I can now make Snapdragons, which are a real help to Elijah whilst he clanks away at his workstation

"Impressive! He's earned $50,000 already!"

"Sophie's also working hard to earn cash. Water wigglers, funny looking things, but they bring in good money. Nowhere near $6,000, but it evens itself out. She easily makes about 12 in the time it takes Elijah to craft a servo."

" The really big news is that we have two new residents. Breanna Landry, Cheerleader, Aquarius."

"And Skylar Kelson. Former Mascot. Scorpio."

"Skylar was soon inducted into the Secret Society. This is him without the llama suit. Although he seems to switch between llama suit and tracksuit without warning. Frequently."

"See what I mean. I swear he left in a red tracksuit!"

"There's no shortage of Mascots it seems. Anyway, everyone made the dean's List, roll on the final year. Erica, signing out, see you soon!"
