Round Three - The King, Clarke & Middleton Families

The King Family
Hi, it's me again, Eliza King. Well, with Elijah off to University, Hepzibah began to craze me to let her get a kitten. I eventually caved in, and adopted little Beelzebub for her. I'm worried though, as like all pleasure seekers, Hepz's attention span for most things is very short lived. I have a funny feeling she'll soon grow tired of her new pet.

I have to admit though, he's a little cutie, and Hepz adores him. Let's hope she feels the same way whilst cleaning out the litter tray.

Well, he soon grew up, as all things do, although I was expecting a ginger Tom. His new look was a complete surprise to both me and Hepz.

I keep up with goings on in the neighbourhood, and compared to some of the achievements of other residents, including Elijah, who's earned $100,000, my prize might seem rather paltry. It's not just the money though, it's the satisfaction of knowing I make a difference to the old sims' lives. I might join them in a few years, and I always remember that 'what goes around, comes around'. There's no way I'd ever want to be stuck waiting for a bedpan!

It turns out that either Hepz or Beelzebub is a genius, because that cat can now speak, stay and loads of other things. Hepz thinks she can get him to use our toilet eventually, although i don't think I'll live to see the day. It's just a hairbrained scheme to get out of changing the litter if you ask me. That girl, sometimes I wonder what goes on in that head of hers.

I was eventually promoted, and I now get to ride in the ambulance occassionally. Cleve is the driver, and we hit it off straight away. At my time of life it's all about companionship, and dignity, and I think Larry feels the same. Unlike my friend Esther who seems to have gone completely mad; she has no dignity or scruples when it comes to relationships, but that's another story. I'm not one to spread gossip, but the goings on over at her place are scandalous. I shall not be jumping into bed with Larry at the first opportunity, but I do like him. So I won't be introducing him to Esther either.

He follows me home from work alot now, and we even shared a first kiss recently. Although it's hard to feel romantic dressed in your work greens.

Winter's hit hard, and Hepz uses snow days to train Beelzebub. I wish she'd use it to gain scholarships, although her devotion to that cat has surprised me. It just goes to prove that even an old girl like me can be wrong when it comes to being a judge of character.

And she's good when it comes to work. Never misses a day, and loves spending time tinkering with speakers and decks at the local coffee shop.

Ironically, it's Beelzebub who's contributing the most financially to the household. The world's gone mad. Since when can a pet earn more than a teenager and elder combined?

I decide to take financial matters in hand! Who wants to earn less than a cat I ask you? My grandson made a fortune crafting Servo's; and if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me! I have to take alot of breaks though, as the work is really tough.

It's amazing, but with the three of us working, we manage to pay builder's to commence construction on the Family mansion. Elijah's due home tomorrow, and we're hoping to suprise him. Life's getting better, and Hepzibah is now happy to leave for University knowing I'll be looked after. I've told her to seriously consider her options at the end of year 2; does my grandaughter really want to remain a selfish pleasure seeker all her life? Then again, as the saying goes, 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone,' and the alternative could be far worse! Till next time, Eliza signing off.

The Clarke Family

OK, this is Mickey with a quick update, which should have been included before the University, but it completely slipped my mind, and had to be postponed until now. Not that it's very interesting, with just the two of us here.

I got to the top of the teen business career. Not my idea of a dream job, but it was the best available. I'm not sure if I'll continue with being a pleasure seeker once I hit the end of my second year at University. I don't know if it's really me. I never want to jump on the couch, or juggle bottles. I'm way to serious, and consider it childish. I'm much more into art and studying.

I made a really cool deal on some coins I sold, and bought loads more art supplies. As you can see, Elliot also has painting talent.

Now is not the time for him to be painting though. With $5,000 in scholarships, now's the time for him to head off to Uni. I know he's planning on asking Meadow to join him on campus. It's no big surprise, I mean they're practically joined at the hip already.

I'm not doing so bad myself, but someone has to hold the fort till Dorian comes home. As I'm the youngest I nominated myself; I mean if Elliot waits to go for much longer he'll be too old.

"No Elliot, it's not a self portrait, so you can stop your snickering. Anyway, I don't have a moustache, so why'd you think it was me? You'll laugh the other side of your face when you see what this baby sells for, just you wait and see!"

"$554, told ya!"
And that ends the week really. I now paint masterpiece's, and Elliot has finally gone. It's not at all lonely, it's peaceful for once. Gives me time for my art!

The Middleton Family

Hi again, it's Esther here, well it would be, I'm the only one left her unless you count the dog. Things have improved a little since last week; I no longer have to keep righting my kicked over trash can since Ron and I are now friends again.

Really good friends if you get my drift!

Oh well, that didn't last long! Ron caught me cheating yet again, so I've resigned myself to having no newspaper and probably roaches. The man is a little too obsessive if you ask me. He walks by my house whether we're friends or not.

Thanks for calling by Ron, sorry I was out!

Utah grew up, and became a Collie. Although having a dog on the premises didn't deter burglars, as I found out to my cost.

After casing the house, Amin Bear decides there's nothing worth stealing. I was in two minds whether to call the police, as I thought he might be leaving. And then I remembered ... Oh my, the car! He's going to steal the car!

Yep, the car's gone. I'd be worried, but I hardly use it any more. I mean I can't go downtown without Ron attacking me, so it just sits, I mean sat, on the drive for the most part.

The police apprehend the burglar, but don't give me back the car. I don't understand it. Look Officer it's in his swag bag, I saw him put it in there just moments ago. No joy, apparently it's now evidence. At least I got a little from the insurance money.

Suddenly I miss that car. So much so that I forget to chat up the nice young Officer for future date potential. That would have made the experience bearable, at least.

All in all I've enjoyed my time without the grandkids, although I'll welcome them home with open arms next time. In the meantime, I'll continue having fun. With a collegue from work .....

..... and a nice young man I met at Red's Diner .....

..... oops, I've even forgotten this one's name, how awful of me .....

..... and a lovely blonde called Dorian! Oh well, have to get a move on, Goopy's coming over for dinner, see you next time!

University Update

Here's a University update. I've agreed with Martin that we will tally points for each challenge at the end of our respective round 3's. Eat your heart out Martin, because these students have clocked up a fair few points, and a fair few badges as well (useful for the future, though not yet scoreable!) Not that I'm gloating of course. Now where have I heard that before?
The Clarke Household - Elliot & Meadow

This is me, Elliot Clarke, arriving at University. OK, so the clothes aren't brilliant, but what the heck! I'm just so glad to finally get here. Ok, so Mickey will be on his own for a while, but Dorian will be returning home before he even notices I've left. I decided not to go into dorms, preferring to rent a little place. It was my dream to finally spend some time alone with Meadow, in practice for our life together once we graduate. Dorian teases me, and calls it 'playing house', but it's all in good fun. I'm still going to become a member of their Greek House, if that's what he's worried about. I don't have to, or even want to, live there though!

Funny, but the first person I catch walking by is my brother Simon, and I ask him about joining. With two brothers already members, I'm already a 'foot in'.

Piece of cake!

Meadow soon joins me at University, and agrees to move in with me. Although we've been dating a while, now that she's grown up a bit, I'm eager to see if her feelings for me have changed at all. Seems not! Meadow is also family orientataed, and wants to graduate 3 kids from college. I laugh when she tells me that. After all she's not even managed to graduate herself yet!

Here's the soppy pic ..... everyone say awwww.

And again! I couldn't resist it. I knew we were meant to be together. Simple as!

Meadow joins the same Greek House as me, after all, I couldn't have her going over to the other side. My brothers would never forgiveme!I wasn't surprised to get inducted into the Secret Society! After all, I already had 2 out of the mandatory 3 friends with just my brothers.

Meadow, on the other hand was a little more surprised.

The end of our first year I booked a table at Red's, and Meadow got to spend some quality time with my brothers. It was important to me that they liked her, and equally that she liked them. It wasn't a problem in Dorian's case, after all he likes everyone!

Meadow was soon telling him about our engagement.

After such a special night together, we ended up having our very first woohoo. I was going to wait until after we'd graduated and got married, but I think we were both swept away by the force of our emotions! Dorian laughed when I told him. He now refers to us as 'love's young dream'. He sometimes acts like he's seen and done everything, but I think it's a front. I'm probably more mature than he is!

The Federal Fortress Greek House

Hi Breanna here, ready to give an update on the goings on at the 'Fort'. Firstly things are going well on the gardening front, and we were awarded our second wishing well by the Gardening Club. I think Erica is taking the first one back to Fortunicity when she graduates. It's bound to be a help to a romantic sim like her!

All of us are working hard, not only for our degree, but also for our talent badges. Sophie is doing really well, but then she had a head start - she enrolled with a Gold Register Badge which she obtained as a teen townie!

Being able to make Servo's means Sophie can now earn big bucks.

Erica's water wigglers are a hit, and bring in $450 each time.

Skylar is a whizz on the Mechanics bench, and after just three days of non-stop tinkering was able to make Servo's too. I helped him out when he convinced me to do his term paper for him. He's quite an influential guy!

I can't believe he's already earned so much! If he carries on like this he'll soon reach his impossible want .....

..... just like Elijah. Fortune sims, they're obsessed!

All I wanted was to fall in love, and eventually Ricky Cornier and I got together. He's not the most orthodox Family sim I've ever met. All I will say is that with 20 puppies or kittens, and 6 kids to raise, when we finally get a home together - it's gonna be busy.

I was eventually inducted into the Secret Society. It would have happened sooner, but for some reason I refused to leave the plot when they came on two previous occassions. I don't know why, maybe I was scared, but I don't think so. I think someone mentioned it was a weird glitch, whatever that is? Anyway, I can now hack my grades if I want to, although I don't think I'll need to. Nobody here has had to do it before.

Anyway, the original 6 members of the 'Fort' graduated this week; but not before congratulating me and Ricky on our engagement. I'm really jealous, and wish I were leaving with them, especially Ricky. Still, it will give him time to build us a nice house before I finally join him.

Before he left, Elijah invited Amin Swinton over. He was already a member of the house, but accepted an invitation to actually move in here now there's so much space. I'm gonna miss those guys, but know it won't be long before I join them.

The Funhouse Greek Society

I was so glad when me and Amar became residents of the 'Funhouse' for the original members final year. I immediately invited Justus on a date. Call me obsessive but I knew he was the 'one', and had bought the ring a while back, knowing I had to ask him. Better to be rejected than never pluck up the courage to ask. Oh sorry, it's me, Cherry Middleton.

I think you can tell from the look on my face how nervous I was .....

..... but thankfully he said yes! All I really know about him is that he's a knowledge sim, and that I think he's hot. Really hot!

Anyway, like the 'Fort', everyone here is geared up for graduation. Dorian takes time out from chatting on the phone to get his Gold Gardening Badge.

Siobhan's floral efforts can mow produce snapdragon bouquets, and she can also craft water wiggler's on the toy bench.

Although the excessive time spent gardening is taking it's toll. Dorian is the first, and hopefully only, victim of sunstroke. Mmmm ..... feel the burn!

Even Amar manages to get a Gold Badge, which is amazing considering his pleasure seeking ways. It's a wonder he can take time off from juggling.

Two of the Clarke brothers attain their impossible wants. Dorian has way over 30 best friends now. And Simon has maxed out all his skills. Way to go you two!

At the end of our second year, my brother Amar rerolled as a Knowledge sim. I think he'll have much more luck becoming the Chief of Staff at Fortunicity General than he ever would in having 50 1st dates.

I thought the place would be lonely once they'd all left; but before catching his taxi Elijah invited Colby Swinton to move in. And I have every intention of getting Justus to live here, after all he's going to be part of the neighbourhood one day, so he may as well earn himself some extra slots and skill points. See you next update ..... bye for now! P.S. Isn't it exciting. I mean about Justus and me. I keep having to pinch myself. Anyway, Byeeee!
